Thomas R. Giunta
Vice President, Engineering

A key member of the senior management team, Giunta reports to Jeff Quiram, STI's president and chief executive officer, and manages all aspects of engineering at the company.

Prior to joining STI, Giunta held senior management positions in Motorola's IP Video Solutions and Motorola Wireline Networks organizations, where he was responsible for video compression and networking products. Prior to joining Motorola, he served as vice president, switching development engineering at Ciena Corporation, where he was responsible for Ciena's CoreDirector optical core network switching platform. In that role, he managed a 300-person team and guided the successful transition of that product platform to carrier-class status and directed product deployments into major operators including AT&T, Sprint, and Qwest. In addition, he served in senior leadership and senior engineering/product development and management roles at Mahi Networks, Advanced Fibre Communications, Fujitsu Network Communications and Alcatel.

Giunta holds an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Florida International University.
